SpywareBlaster

SpywareBlaster is a passive program even though the name of the program would make you think otherwise. It doesn't do any scanning, but it plugs up holes in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and blocks known bad cookies. Just update it every once in a while.

1. First you'll want to make sure the program defintions are up to date. At the bottom of the window will be Download latest protection updates. Click on it.
2. Press the Check for updates button to being the check on-line for new definitions.
3. Press the button marked Close when the check is done.
4. On the left side of the window press the Protection selector.
5. Look near the bottom again. Press Enable all protection to plug the various security holes.
6. Close the program and go on your way.
